NC Native singer, actress & songwriter, Renee Rapp who originally made her debut on Broadway with Mean Girls, has announced a new album set to release August 1st, 2025. Rapp also has been teasing fans with a snippet of her now released single “Leave me Alone” which is rumored to be a diss track against the show “The Sex Lives of College Girls” based on the lookalikes in the music video and with the lyrics
“I took my sex life with me// now the show ain’t fuckinnn! Leave me alone bitch// I wanna have fun.”
Rapp states over the course of the single how she just wants to have fun and needs to be left alone. Towards the end of the song Rapp asks listeners if she can ask them a secret and discloses, she’s sick of it all, hinting at the societal pressures she faces as an artist with the need for her to release new music while trying to live her life in her mid 20s. Despite her fanbase loving her blunt honesty and raw emotions, Rapp continues to shock fans when she releases new music. Fans are also looking forward to seeing what the new album will bring as “Leave me Alone” crosses into new genre territory with pop-punk princess vibes. Fans are speculating that “Bite Me” will carry over the same theme of “serving cunt” as the single predicts and are excited to see what Rapp has in store with each release for the upcoming future.
