Jessie Murph causes “hysteria” over new album announcement
Jessie Murph has announced that her second studio album, “Sex Hysteria”, will be released Friday July 18th through Columbia Records. The album arrives on the heels of three previously-released singles: “Gucci Mane”, “Blue Strips” and “Touch Me Like A Gangster”. Murph’s sophomore effort drops about a year after her 2024 debut album, “That Ain’t No Man, That’s The Devil” (also released through Columbia Records). The Alabama-born singer made her music debut in 2023 with her mixtape, “drowning”.
Murph took to her Instagram on June 3rd to announce the release date of “Sex Hysteria” along with the caption (in all caps): “SEX HYSTERIA THE ALBUM OUT JULY 18. [New single] “TOUCH ME LIKE A GANGSTER” OUT THIS FRIDAY. VINYL AND CD AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER NOW.” The album cover sees Murph sporting a 60s-esq. bouffant and pouting for the camera against a grungy pink background. At press time, an official tracklist has not yet been released.
