Haim Announces New album “I quit”
Haim announced their new album “I Quit” due out June 20th. Along with the album announcement, they released a new single called “Down to be Wrong”. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 23, during a performance in Los Angeles at The Bellwether. This will be the band’s first album since 2020’s “Women in Music Part III.” The album is produced by Danielle Haim and Rostam Batmanglij, the band’s longtime collaborator.
The band teased the album with a video presenting the band’s “I quit” statements, starting with “I quit what doesn’t serve me” before taking on other dependencies such as “nicotine,” “shame,” and others.
Paul Thomas Anderson, a longtime collaborator and family friend of the band, shot the new album’s artwork. Anderson has previously worked with the band for “Man From The Magazine” and “Summer Girl” music videos, and he even cast Alana Haim in his film “Licorice Pizza” and his upcoming movie “One Battle After Another” which will be released on September 26th.
