Edwards started releasing music on Spotify in July of 2019 with his single “Getaway” and “Alexander” in October of 2019. He is described as an artist who mixes southern twang and sultry into one to create this blend of old country and vintage R&B together to get his own unique sound. Edwards holds onto the feeling of nostalgia as well as innovation when creating music and strives to make his audience feel like they are at home with the themes of his music. “River Man”

Micah Edwards has finally released the first single from his new album “Texas soul” in which he played in full exclusively on tour. Teasing snippets throughout his time on the “When The War Is Over” tour that featured him as the opener for JOHNNYSWIM, making his way across the US, Micah poured his heart out night after night to share this song that felt like home. You could almost smell warm pecan pie and hear the rumble of gravel on a dirt road, the sight of summer dresses and the cool feeling of river water rolling against your skin on a hot summer day. All things that can describe a blossoming crush down by the river in the countryside.

about the album “Texas soul”

“Texas Soul” will be Edwards’ second album, following behind “Jean Leon”. The new album is said to “serve as a love letter to the small towns, neon-lit dance halls, and hidden gems that makes up his home state.” This album is a statement about how despite the differences that we face as a society, that we can be connected through music and through that music we can connect cultures as well as generations.
